Much has been written and discussed about the power of teacher leadership on the national and state levels. But what does teacher leadership actually look like in action in schools and classrooms? What district-level roles for teacher leaders enhance systems of distributive leadership? What type of training is offered so teacher leaders can grow professionally in these roles? This session will explore innovative practices and on-the-ground implementation of teacher leadership on the district level in the contexts of policy leadership, instructional leadership, and association leadership.
